NIGHTS AT LACAR LAKE

  • Difficulty: Medium (No previous experience is necessary, a minimum of physical condition is necessary as there may be more demands due to weather conditions).

  • Duration: 3 days / 2 nights of camping.

  • Description: Rowing with camping

  • Geographic location: Lake Lacar, Lanín National Park, San Martín de los Andes, Neuquén Province.

  • Rowing hours: 3 hours average.

  • Total distance: 50 km (Vuelta al Lacar).

  • Dates: From November to April.

  • Description:

We paddled out of the port of San Martín de los Andes, along the north bank of the lake. We pass through La Islita, Playa Blanca, Lizzazo and Yuco where we will stop for lunch, take a break to row to Nonthe, and spend the 1st night. The next day we disarm the camp to row to the narrowness that divides Lake Lacar with Lake Nonthue and continue to row to Pucara, visiting the local park ranger, have some mates and continue to Ruca Ñira where we will spend the 2nd night. Last day, breakfast, we disarm the camp to row the last stretch of the lake along the southern coast of the lake, passing through the pasty caves of the vizcacha, Quila Quina and reaching the destination of San Martin de los Andes. End of the journey

  • Included services:

Specialized guides, specific technical equipment, shared tents, boats, accident insurance. Full board, in camp.

  • Necessary equipment:

Watertight bag (not very large, 50 liters approx., Which is what you will carry in the boats), trekking shoes, sunglasses, cap or hat, sunscreen, photo machine, swimsuit, jacket and warm divers (fleece), espadrilles or sandals with rubber soles for boats, sarcophagus-type sleeping bag (we recommend that the comfort temperature reaches –5 ° C.), insulation, dishes and personal hygiene, Fishing equipment (prior notice to obtain respective permission), personal medication BOTIQUIN, flashlight, towel.

  • Does not include:

Transportation to and from San Martín de los Andes, expenses derived from abandoning the activity (transportation, hotels, meals, etc.), fishing permit, dinner for the first and last night.

  • Observations:

All these activities are subject to weather conditions, they can be modified whether there is a lot of wind or rain. The direction of the route can be reversed according to the state of the lakes and the climate, doing exactly the same places.
