THREE LAKES TOTAL ECLIPSE CROSSING 2020

  • Difficulty: Medium / High (No previous experience is necessary, a minimum of physical condition is necessary as there may be more demands due to weather conditions).

  • Duration: 5 days / 4 nights.

  • Description: Rowing / Treking / Horseback riding (optional)

  • Geographic location: Lanín National Park, San Martín de los Andes, Neuquén Province.

 

  • Rowing hours: 3 hours average.

  • Total distance: 50 km (Vuelta al Lacar).

  • Dates: November to April, scheduled departures: Groups: minimum 6, maximum 15 people

 

  • Description:

The most inaccessible corners of the National Park are not so much if you approach by water. Visit lakes, ponds and streams; slag and other volcanic formations is an unforgettable experience. Always guarded by the imposing presence of the Lanín Volcano, they close a landscape of legends, but in this unique opportunity with the TOTAL SUN ECLIPSE

 

 

 

 

  • Schedule:

 

  1. DAY 0 NIGHT IN SANMA

Rowing

 

  2. DAY 1 PAIMUN:

Once we left our transport, we started our first arms in terms of rowing, navigating Lake Paimún to the park ranger section and the mouth of the river of the same name, a meal. And we returned to our campsite at Lake Paimún.

 

1st night.

 

  3. DAY 2 HUECHULAFQUEN:

The next day, with more experience, we sail Lake Huechulafquen, and then arrive at Playa Bahía Azul and in the afternoon we will take a walk to the old section of Guarda Parque, have some mates with fried cakes, and then return and camp in Arika Kalfu. Bahia Azul in Mapuche

 

2nd night.

 

  4. DAY 3 EPULAFQUEN:

The next day we paddle and skirt a gigantic slag and if the weather permits we will see the ECLIPSE FROM THE ESCORIAL then we reach the mouth of the Carilafquen river which we go up to the waterfall of the same name. After a meal, we take the same route to get back to the camp and rest.

3rd night.

  5. DAY 4 ESCORIAL WALK:

Breakfast, we gather the equipment AND FREE DAY WALK TO THE LAVA ESCORIAL.

4th night

  6. DAY 5:. Return and last night of crossing in Sanma.

5th Night in San Martín De Los Andes.

  7. DAY 6 Return to place of residence.

End of the journey.

 

  • Included services:

Specialized guides, specific technical equipment, shared tents, boats, accident insurance. Full board, in camp.

 

  • Necessary equipment:

WATERPROOF BAG (not very large, 50 liters approx., Which is what you will carry in the boats), trekking shoes, sunglasses, cap or hat, sunscreen, photo machine, swimsuit, jacket and warm divers (fleece), espadrilles or sandals with rubber soles for boats, sarcophagus-type sleeping bag (we recommend that the comfort temperature reaches –5 ° C.), insulation, dishes and personal hygiene, fishing equipment (prior notice to obtain respective permission), personal medications (BOTIQUIN), flashlight, towel.

 

  • Does not include:

Transportation to and from San Martín de los Andes, expenses derived from abandoning the activity (transportation, hotels, meals, etc.), fishing permit, dinner for the first and last night.

 

  • Form of payment: 50% sign in French, balance the night before at the meeting with the Bebe O'connor Guide.

 

  • Observations:

All these activities are subject to weather conditions, they can be modified AND / OR suspended whether there is a lot of wind or rain and The direction of the route can be reversed according to the state of the lakes and the weather, doing exactly the same places in reverse.
